Friday 11th May; 11 terrorists were killed and 9 others injured insurgents were arrested by security forces in Mosulmani and khwaja dad areas, Musa Qala district of Helmand province.
Large numbers of the terrorists attacked heavily on the Mosulmani and khwaja dad area’s security check points on Friday morning and security forces also began fight against the insurgents and the fight among the security forces and the insurgents lasted until  evening.

Dear Mr. Plouffe,
I have two pieces of advice for the President. First, please end the war in Afghanistan now, not in 2014. The war in Afghanistan is unjust. Few days ago 14 Afghan civilians were killed by aerial attacks in Baghlan in the north and Helmand in the south.

Last year, an Obama senior administration official said that the U.S. hasn’t seen a terrorist threat from Afghanistan “for the past seven or eight years.” He also stated, “There is no evidence at all that there is any effort within Afghanistan to use Afghanistan as a launching pad to carry out attacks outside Afghanistan’s borders.” So, if al-Qaeda is not in Afghanistan and is not a threat to the U.S., what are we doing there?

Drone warfare:
In response to international criticism and widespread rebuke over the assassination of suspected terrorists to include American citizens, without regard for congressional oversight, due process and legal constraints, Obama Administration Counter-Terrorism Adviser John Brennan said during an address to the Woodrow Wilson International Center on April 30th that “though unfortunate, civilian casualties are a matter of self-defense.”

When Russian archaeologist Viktor Sarianidi excavated Tilya Tepe in 1978, 21,000 bejeweled, gold artifacts created during the Greco-Bactrian era and known as (The Golden Hoard of Bactria) were reported as inventoried, photographed, and catalogued.

Of a myriad of indignities visited upon the people of Afghanistan by the USSR during their decade-long war, perhaps the most criminally-egregious was the use of biological weapons.

A selected set of documents seized from the compound of Osama bin Laden last year sheds new light on the terrorist leader.

Afghanistan is about to blossom into a vibrant, modern nation; unfortunately the ongoing turmoil and the relentlessly negative media coverage obscure this underlying dynamic. A new Afghanistan is unfolding unseen before our very eyes. USAID's recent report, Partnership, Progress, Perseverance, provides an overview of the significant progress that has been made in health and education, while developing infrastructure and human capital.

In 2010, there were more than 14,000 murders in the U.S.  But how many Americans are aware that not a single murder was perpetrated by a Muslim? And while the West has made terrorism synonymous with Muslims, how many Americans are aware that the first terrorists accorded a place in history were not Muslims… but Jews?
